REAGAN STATUE GIVEN TO NORTHSHORE COMMUNITY

Over 200 area citizens and public officials gathered at Covington's Trailhead Park today to observe the installation and dedication of a statue in memory of President Ronald W. Reagan. The 9-foot tall bronze figure was commissioned and donated by the Patrick F. Taylor Foundation of New Orleans.
Mrs. Phyllis Taylor, wife of the late Mr. Taylor, made the presentation for the Taylor Foundation. Mr. & Mrs. Taylor were friends and admirers of the 40th president. The statue was sculpted by Patrick Miller of Ponchatoula. Festive music was provided by the Brass Quartet of the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra.
